Improved membership management
The key factor for building a community is people. With that in mind, we worked towards improving the digital environment for Factory’s community members, so they could have such a nice experience online as they have among the building’s walls.
What we did was to improve the platform’s Member Area, where people can, for example, manage their profile and membership plans, and also added new networking tools like a Job Board, Companies Directory and Event Listing, making it easier for people to share experiences and connect.

Membership management
The key factor in building a community is the people within it. With that in mind, we worked towards improving the digital environment for Factory’s community members, so they could have the same great experience online as they have at Factory’s headquarters.
Our team improved the platform’s member area, in which people can manage their profile and membership plans. We also added new networking tools, including a job board, company directory, and event listing, making it easier for people to share experiences and connect.

Data tool admin
The Data Tool management deck is a hub for handling the platform’s multiple workflows.
By improving this feature, we were able to simplify Factory’s internal management process. This, in turn, improved the quality of their services and streamlined processes like new start-up applications and the checking and out of people on their spaces, which resulted in an overall better experience for their clients.
On top of that, we added a powerful analytics module that gathers and measures all the data input to the platform, giving the Factory team the ability to make data-driven decisions and create better business strategies.

API DEVELOPMENT
Multiple integrations
Although our team’s initial goal was to simplify architecture and provide a baseline for further development, we were also able to utilise our expertise in implementing third party API integration.
After establishing the aforementioned baseline, we optimised the platform’s performance by integrating it with specialised tools connected to the Factory Berlin platform.
- Stripe
- Sensorberg
- Mailchimp
- Slack
- Metabase
- Analytics tools like Hotjar, Facebook Pixel and Google Analytics.

UI DESIGN
User interface redesign
The LLInformatics design team took on the task of renovating Factory Berlin’s style guide and user interface of the Factory platform using their new brand book as a source of inspiration.
We incorporated existing guidelines for colours, typography, and the overall look and feel into a new set of components optimised for usability using Factory’s style guide.
Our team crafted and delivered a functional, branded product that instantly stands out as both recognisable and remarkable.
The product’s coherent designs and versatile functionalities support Factory as a leading brand in creating the autonomic space of the Berlin community.
"LLI’s interpersonal successes help them stand out from their competitors. They consistently provide accurate timeline estimates and successfully hit development requirements."
